The History of the Company dates back to 1995 when it was founded as a Limited Liability Company.
Overtime, BTS Clearing and Forwarding Limited has grown in the clearing and Forwarding business and to date;
it is among the top clearing and forwarding companies not only in Uganda but in the whole of the East African region.
BTS Uganda Ltd is a privately owned company, founded in the year 1995 with the intent to provide top notch
clearing & forwarding solutions to various clients in the East & Central African region.
Over the last 26 years, the company has built a positive rapport in the market with continual logistics contracts
with a number of key profile clients (both from the Public & Private sector).
The company strives to provide efficient & on time customized clearing & forwarding solutions to their clientele
& prides itself in being one of the few companies in Uganda with an approved Authorized Economic Operator
(AEO) status.
BTS Uganda Ltd is ISO certified & a member of Uganda Freight Forwarders Association (UFFA) of which our
Managing Director Dr. Merian Sebunya, is a founder member.
The company has affiliations and memberships with the below esteemed associations:
• Member of Federation of East Africa Freight Forwarders Association (FEEFFA).
• International Federation of Freight Forwarders Association (FIATA).
• Affiliated with the chartered institute of logistics & transport in Uganda.
We have a well-structured and experienced management team that is spear headed by our Managing Director
who occupies various positions on related committees. She is also a certified Trainer of Trainers (TOT) in
International Freight Forwarding and Transport Logistics.
